This was the burning question posed by the founders of Crate, Jeff Roach and Matthew Hollingshead. The resulting creative collaboration took the word Create, put it in a box, and discovered Crate. Jeff Roach / Partner, Director of Strategy
With over 15 years in advertising and marketing communications, Jeff is one of North America's most well-rounded strategic planners. Jeff has worked on consumer brand advertising and marketing campaigns for some of North America's biggest brands including BlackBerry, Durex, Energizer, MasterCard, Mattel, Microsoft, and P&G to name a few. As a marcom strategist, Jeff has executed campaigns in virtually every medium from TV to social media to experiential and PR. With a career-start as an advertising copywriter, Jeff stays engaged in creative as the writing half of the Crate creative team with his art director partner (and business partner), Matthew Hollingshead.
Matthew Hollingshead / Partner, Creative Director
After graduating from the McMaster/Dundas Valley School of Art, Matthew started his first creative boutique, Factor[e], excelling in creative communications design for clients in the entertainment business such as Aquarius Records, Last Gang Records, Hip Interactive, and Dreamcatcher Games. This led Matthew to internal Creative Director positions at Groove Games and Hockey.com where he managed the creative execution of large-scale product roll-outs across retail, online, and advertising for brands such as Golf.com and Playboy. As the Creative Director of Crate, Matthew relies on his 12 years of applied arts experience to engage consumers in any medium.
